Pugalo Trail Run is an annual trail running event in Barangay Pugalo, Alcoy, Cebu. Pugalo is home to very active running group in the south, the Black Shama Runners Club (named after the black Shama birds which are abundant in Alcoy).

The Black Shama Runners Club of Alcoy organizes the annual Pugalo Trail Run as their way to share the love for running, and the positive benefits that come from it. The event will also serve as a venue to publicize the participating groups, promote togetherness among running clubs and to promote Black Shama Runners Club as a health advocate.

Part of Black Shama Runners Club’s guiding principles is the promotion of the interest and welfare of community. One of their objectives is to adopt a non-profit organization as their valued beneficiary of the event.

The activity is open to the public and would mainly be participated in by local residents, recreational & competitive runners, and family members coming from different places.
